Rules and Regulation

Sunakhari Academy upholds a set of rules and regulations to maintain a disciplined, respectful, and productive learning environment. These guidelines are designed to ensure the safety, well-being, and academic success of all students. Here are the key rules and regulations:

 

Academic Conduct

  • Attendance: Regular attendance is mandatory. Students must maintain a minimum attendance percentage to be eligible for exams. Absences must be justified with a valid reason and prior approval from the concerned authorities.
  • Punctuality: Students are expected to arrive on time for classes, assemblies, and other school activities. Late arrivals disrupt the learning process and are discouraged.
  • Homework and Assignments: Students must complete and submit homework and assignments on time. Plagiarism and cheating are strictly prohibited and can result in disciplinary action.
  • Examinations: Adherence to the examination schedule is compulsory. Any form of malpractice during exams will lead to severe consequences, including possible suspension or expulsion.

Behavioral Expectations

  • Respect and Courtesy: Students must show respect and courtesy towards teachers, staff, and fellow students. Any form of bullying, harassment, or discrimination is not tolerated.
  • Dress Code: A prescribed uniform must be worn at all times during school hours. The uniform should be neat and tidy, and students must adhere to the dress code guidelines regarding accessories and personal grooming.
  • Classroom Conduct: Students should maintain discipline in the classroom, listen attentively, and participate actively in discussions. Disruptive behavior is not acceptable.
  • Language: The use of appropriate and respectful language is expected at all times. Offensive or vulgar language is prohibited.

Campus Regulations

  • Property: Students must take care of school property and facilities. Vandalism or damage to school property will result in penalties and may require reimbursement for damages.
  • Personal Belongings: The school is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings. Students are advised to take care of their possessions and avoid bringing valuable items to school.
  • Electronic Devices: The use of mobile phones and other electronic devices is restricted during school hours unless permitted by the teacher for educational purposes. Unauthorized use can lead to confiscation.
  • Cleanliness: Students are expected to maintain cleanliness within the school premises. Littering is strictly prohibited, and students should dispose of waste in designated bins.

 

Safety and Security

  • Emergency Procedures: Students must be familiar with and adhere to the school’s emergency procedures, including fire drills and evacuation plans.
  • Leaving Campus: Students are not allowed to leave the school premises during school hours without prior permission from the administration.
  • Health: Students should inform the school nurse or administration of any health issues. Participation in physical activities requires medical clearance if there are health concerns.

Participation and Activities

  • Extracurricular Activities: Participation in extracurricular activities is encouraged. Students must balance their academic and extracurricular commitments responsibly.
  • Field Trips and Excursions: Students must obtain parental consent to participate in field trips and excursions. They are expected to follow all rules and guidelines provided by the supervising staff.

Disciplinary Actions

  • Infractions: Violations of school rules may result in disciplinary actions, including warnings, detention, suspension, or expulsion, depending on the severity of the infraction.
  • Grievances: Students and parents can report grievances or concerns to the school administration, which will address them promptly and fairly.
